Building on the success of the inaugural event, EMAS organized a new webinar on September 7, 2023, to commemorate World Menopause and Work Day. The theme was “Menopause in the Workplace after COVID,” focusing on the evolving challenges and opportunities for menopausal women post-pandemic.
Featuring expert insights from Kathleen Riach, Claire McCartney, Rachel Weiss, Rachel Suff, Margaret Rees, and Claire Hardy. Topics discussed were: “Working from home” by Kathleen Riach, “Flexible working” by Claire McCartney, and “Have things improved?” by Rachel Weiss.
7 September 2021 was the Open Door Day of the 13th European Congress on Menopause and Andropause, and included a series of three webinars on menopause in the workplace.
Watch this session for a comprehensive summary of what menopause is all about and how it can affect people at work by EMAS Scientific Director Irene Lambrinoudaki and Rachel Weiss, the initiator of the Menopause Café charity.
Claire Hardy welcomes Kathleen Riach and Rachel Suff to discuss what employers and managers should know about menopause in the workplace, including a practical experience-sharing presentation.
In this session, Margaret Rees explains how some gynaecologists and general practitioners lack knowledge about the effect of menopause and its symptoms on the ability to work. Next, Emma Persand discusses the cultural impact of menopause and warns of the need for a change in the way clinical consultations are oriented.
