Junior Mentorship Program JuMP Initiative for junior EMAS Members.EMAS is delighted to introduce an exciting new Junior Mentorship Program (JuMP). The aim of JuMP is to encourage career development and to promote academic skills of junior clinicians and researchers in the field of post reproductive health. One expert Mentor is paired with a Mentee for one year based on mutual research interests. The role of the Mentor is to provide guidance on how to write a protocol and abstract, how to present at conferences, how to write a paper and clinical case solving. The outcomes are a research project disseminated as a poster or oral presentation at the 2017 EMAS congress and submission of a research paper to a peer reviewed journal. As Mentor-Mentee-pairs may not come from the same country, communication is online (email, skype etc.) and in English. The programme has started in June 2016, with 17 Mentor-Mentee-pairs. The results of the programme will be presented in a special session in the coming EMAS Congress in Amsterdam, 22-24 May 2017. Mentees presenting their work in the special JuMP oral session will have their registration fee waived.
